LOL! Fun is this rod's middle name! The thing is huge! At the reel seat, the diameter is @ 2" in diameter.
Relatively light and easy to handle for it's size.
I tried it with a Pinnacle PV70 Viper spinning reel, spooled with 20 lb test (I was intrigued by a $15 surf reel) and I tossed a 4 oz. pyramid sinker farther than I ever thought possible!
You can whip a bait WAY offshore. Half the fun is using the thing like a ballista! :)
