I bought 4 different brands to try and find the best option for avoiding the sackcloth phenomenon that has infiltrated our long underwear industry.
This was hands down the winner, highly recommended for comfort, durability, and price.
Rating: - Good thermals for the price
The thermal set I bought arrived quickly. The shirt is nicely made and the sleeves are long. I'm replacing a set of Haynes that is too short. The set is comfortable too. I haven't worn them out in the mountains yet. The test for warmth will come in December.
Rating: - Not your old scratchy thermals!
I researched and researched for hours on the internet. I have the old style cheap thermals that feel like "burlap" against your skin. I wanted something different. So after spending hours online looking at different fabrics, brands, and prices. I didn't want to spend a fortune on something that I might ruin wearing to work in. Bought these for my son (a surveyor) and he is very pleased with how warm they keep him in the cold outdoors. They wash and dry well without shrinking.
Rating: - Duofold MW thermal
It behaved very good during the cold and windy days of ski. An excellent baselayer for milder days.
