Product Description: Finally, Lumi is a sports watch designed for a woman! Your adrenaline gets pumping when you catch that perfect wave and enjoy the best a swell has to offer. Your battle cry is 'Surf's Up!' and you're the first one in the water. Suunto Lumi Sportif reflects your energetic style - as vivid and bright as the sunshine on a wind-sand beach. Suunto Lumi Sportif's barometer lets you know when the air pressure drops before you see the clouds come rolling in. Set it the night before and when the alarm goes off in the morning the Weather Trend Indicator will tell you if you should grab your board and head out or hit the snooze button. The clean, fresh style of Suunto Lumi Sportif is feminine but not frilly. It's tough enough to endure a day of hard play, and its versatility makes a sport-inspired fashion statement for a night out. With a choice of different straps, a pendant, or carabiner jacket, you can create a look to fit any activity. Rating: - Not a real outdoor watch
The altimeter is not accurate at all, even when correctly used. Further proof that this is not just a fluke, my climbing partner had a Suunto Vector and we went through the same calibration before the climb (at the mountain hut of a known altitude) and when we arrived at the summit, his altimeter was spot on, the Lumi I had was waaaaaaay off (btw, we both wore the watches on the wrist and so temperature does not factor in here). The Lumi scratches super easily too. Getting to the altimeter calibration ... Read More
Rating: - I love my Lumi.
I read some negative reviews about the Lumi before I decided I wanted one anyway, so I wanted to post my experiences with it. I have had mine for several months, and wear it almost everyday, with no problems so far.
Form/Function: It IS a big women's watch, but I quickly got used to it, and don't feel that it overwhelms my 5'5" frame. It's about the size of a men's Suunto Vector without the plastic bezel, and is not quite as thick. The watch itself is well made and nice looking, and the display ... Read More

I was so excited to receive my Suunto Lumi watch! So far so good... Everything has been fairly accurate, including the storm alarm and compass. My small complaint is that even though I followed the directions carefully regarding how to adjust the watchband, it still resulted in a tight fit. I wish they had created a regular watchband that doesn't require snipping the plastic (just a regular adjustable would have been great). The band is pretty and seems durable. Maybe it's too much to ask but I wish they ... Read More
Rating: - Interesting concept but would not recommend
I've had several Suunto watches and was unimpressed with the Lumi. First of all it's very heavy! And huge! The features are awesome but the sacrifice (size, weight) aren't worth the trade. I'm an averaged sized female (5'7" 145lbs) and the heft of the watch made my hand fall asleep after 5 minutes. I am accustomed to wearing men's watches that are too big for my wrist but this one was too much even for me. Also, I was expecting a red--(true red) watch band but when it arrived it was more like crash ... Read More

I have a Lumi with Florette band. Bought it back in September 2007 when it first came out.
The computer is really great, finally one of this kind that is especially for women. However, I had issues with the butterfly clasp since day one. Wanted to have it repaired but the closest authorized service is in ... UT. I did not want to go without the watch for 2 weeks so I hesitated to send it. Did not want to spend extra $100 for a new band either.
That clasp issue turned out to be way ... Read More
