Album Description:
Multi Dimensional Warrior summarizes the soulful, spiritual side of a sonic pioneer who has made a multi-platinum career out of defying all attempts to be categorized. Divided into two halves for two distinct listening experiences, the first disc gathers 14 powerful songs with vocals, while disc two consists of 14 inspiring instrumental tracks. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Very Pleased with This Release!
I am a latin-styled percussionist, and a long time fan of Santana - I folow and know all of his music. The only thing I can say to possibly, dispute what some have said is, that I guess people look for different things in musical content, which is balanced against their expectations, before they hear the first note.

The second CD is one Carlos provides, that does include some of his best instrumentals previously, recorded. So, don't expect much new there simply, great Santana music. ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - boriqua
I've been listening to Carlos Santana since I first saw him in the movie Woodstock in 1969 and have yet to be disappointed with any of this work. This includes Multi-Dimensional Warrior. I just recently witness another fantastic concert and loved every minute of it. The two-disc set is great. The first disc sets off the second disc beautifully. I love both, but prefer the second disc. It shows the more mellow side of Carlos, which I believe he should do more of. It shows off his wonderful talents ... Read More

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - boring and formulaic
I like the fact that Santana has collaborated with vocalists on his recent cds, but this release is the most uninspired of his last 3 albums. The songs featuring vocalists are boring in their "smooth jazz" approach. I feel he doesn't have much more to give, and is just going through the motions on the instrumental songs, as well,(same old, same old). Time to retire, or at least take a break to get the creative juices flowing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - the VERY best of
You may not have ever heard any of these songs on the radio but this is Carlos Santana at his absolute best. Disc one is with vocals, disc two is all instrumental. Disc two has some of the most beautiful guitar work I have EVER heard. The songs span Santanas entire career and have all been released previously but the songs play like they were made to go together. If you like Santana at all, just buy this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Multi-Dimensional Mystical Musician
"Multi-Dimensional Warrior" is Carlos Santana's picks of his greatest hits encompassing his years at Columbia Records, Arista, and Legacy. It's a fascinating compilation, with styles ranging from blues rock to psychedelic to easy listening. Santana had the enviable task of exploring the archives, and this collection is perfect for the beginner. It's double the pleasure with the first CD having vocals, and the second CD having instrumentals.

Carlos Santana's family emigrated from Jalisco, Mexico, ... Read More
