Editorial Review:

Album Description:
Canadian Jazz/electronica outfit Four80East returns for their highly-anticipated new studio album En Route. Titled for its constant flow of instrumental groove, the contemporary duo's Native Language Music debut and first new release in five years puts a fresh spin on their past work to create a collection that's remarkably cinematic. Attractively packaged in a 'deluxe-edition' jewel case with die-cut slipcase.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - En Route Has Arrived!!!
This is my first Four80East CD, but it definitely won't be my last... If you've read some of my other reviews, I've gotten somewhat bore of Smooth Jazz, well, it's probably more Smooth Jazz radio than anything else. So I wasn't expecting too much when I purchase this CD. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprise listening to En Route. This album is definitely a toe-tappin', head-noddin', and in some cases, a rump-shakin' joint. To paraphrase the original Funkmaster himself, George Clinton, ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Pleased with En Route
After listening to samples, I thought I'd take a gamble on a group I'd never really listened to before. If you're into a more modern, groovy-smooth kind of jazz; this is what you want. I must say, I don't love the first track. It's an otherwise decent composition with with some annoying "twilight zone" music chiming in over it. The rest are great, indeed for a road trip of just chillin. I'll check out more of 480east.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not their best work
I have all of their albums and this one sucks compared to the other albums. Do not hesitate to buy any of the previous albums. You will not be disappointed these guys are awesome!!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Lovin' four 80 east!
Easily one of our favorites CD's to listen to!A must have for all jazz enthusiasts!!!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's good, but liked their prior sound better.
Still has all the funk, but it's leaning a bit too heavily on the electronica sound.
