Lasko 4000 Air Stik Ultra-Slim Oscillating Fan
This fan works great because it stands tall (12")& slim and doesn't take up a lot of space & it has two speeds. I have them in different places in my home & they work great for my hot flashes when I need to cool down.

I wish I could say that I had the experience of the majority of reviewers when it comes to the Lasko 4000. Unfortunately, I am definitely the exception here. It worked fine at first, but after around 6 months, it started becoming increasingly noisy. Given that I had this in the bedroom, it didn't make for a comfortable night's sleep. In about the 8th month, I had picked it up while cleaning and later found that when I turned it on, the noise level had escalated and it didn't seem to work properly. ... Read More
Rating:  - decent fan, not the best
Bought this fan to use as a small desk fan in my bedroom during the warmer summer months. I feel as though this fan makes too much noise for the amount of air it circulates so I never sleep with it on. The "high" setting is not that high and the low is very, very low. Still a fine fan and I use it quite often, but I cannot overlook the noise level.
Rating: - a great personal fan
This is a great personal fan. I use one in my bedroom, at high speed with rotation, about 8 feet from my bed. I use another at my work desk, at low speed without rotation, about 3 feet from me. They're quiet and gentle, just right for someone who's uncomfortable when no air is moving around him or her.
