Haven't had it very long. but works fine and was really easy to program and install.

We have had a manual thermostat since we purchased the house. This is our first programmable unit and the reviews were good so we decided to try it. The price was also attractive.
The instructions are pretty clear and installation was easy. Reprogramming or temporarily overriding the program is a pain as the cover is not hinged so you have to pop it on and off each time. Very annoying.

HI Bought Honeyswells thermostat RTH230B. It was a replacement to my older Majic Stat from 1998. All I can say is WOW. Quaility really plumeted. Majic stat is Made in USA (and twice the size and weight).RTH 230 B in CHINA. Driving a unit as a oil fired burner should have a better unit with more quality control. Ok... I have been using this thermostat for the past 12 hours and have been monitoring its behavior closely.
I wanted a thermostat that could hold temperature very close to the set value. I also wanted something that was programmable. Was not too fussy about back-light.

As other reviewers have said the product is easy to install and it is also very easy to program. However, there are a few things you should be aware of.
- It is battery powered, meaning that if the batteries on the thermostat die, your AC system will stop working until you replace them. The better models get their power from the wires on the wall.
