I found the Yakima HitchSki 6 to be easy to assemble, easy to mount on the Yakima Hitch Mount Bike Rack and very easy to operate. It only took me 30 minutes from opening the box to locking 3 pairs of ski on my new HitchSki rack and I consider myself mechanically challendged. It also comes with locking devices that allow for peace of mind while your skis are left in the rack. The HitchSki is also secured to the Bike Rack by using the Bike Rack built in locking cable. Rating:  - A little disappointing
Actually I was a little disappointed with the rack. It fits securely over my Terragate hitch bike rack, but the top opening isn't deep enough to put in a pair of skis back to back if they have binding plates. If you look closely at the photo, you will see that the one ski set has split plates, otherwise you would have to put them in side by side (halving the capacity of the rack). Skis without plates fit OK back to back.
