Editorial Review:
Amazon.com Product Description: Timex gives its signature Ironman Triathlon multi-function, performance sport watch a sleek new look that's a great fit for both men and women. Featuring a full complement of athletic timing features and a striking profile, the Timex Triathlon Sleek T54281 has a black matte resin case and silver metallic top ring that's complemented by a uniquely styled black resin strap. It features three alarms that can be set for daily/weekday/weekend/weekly alarms, two time zones, an all-day white reflector display for easy reading even in direct sunlight, and water resistance to 100 meters. Sport timing functions include: - 100-hour chronograph with lap/split
- On-the-fly recall of lap or split
- Training log stores workouts by date, with best lap, average lap, and total segment time
- Total run format/synchro timer maintains total activity time (less time paused during workout) and overall running time
- Automatic interval repetition counter
- Forward or backward setting
- Built-in setting reminders
- Top pusher for easy access to lap and split
The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Rating: - Love Ironman watches but can't replace band on these models
Love the performance of the Timex Ironman BUT beware the band on this model can not be replaced. My band broke in less than a year. Hummm, could this be a way to sell more watches or just poor design (defective)? For about the same money, buy a Timex model T5E2419J or similar...bands are replaceable.
Rating: - Kinda large for petite women.
Originally purchased as a gift for my wife.
My wife is a petite woman and when she received item she was extremely happy to receive it, but as soon as she wore it, she disliked it just a little because the face and band of the watch are a little to large for her hand. Although this watch is described as a unisex watch, i believe it is intended more for a men's wrist.
Overall it is a good watch, nice round face and big led numbers make this a great buy.
Rating: - Perfect
My husband had this watch and loved it. Then, it broke. After a series of cheapies from the store I looked on Amazon for the same watch that he loved years ago and found it again. He is so happy to have this watch again. It is perfect: keeps time, allows for lap running, doesn't require daily setting of the alarm, and the buttons are comfortable and don't poke into his wrist.
Rating: - bad band/buttons - otherwise perfect
As an athlete, I loved this watch when I bought it. I still would today -- if only the band would last. As a runner, this watch always feels light and comfortable on your wrist -- even when soaked in sweat or water! I also love the low profile that never gets caught on long sleeve shirts.
After 9 months of normal wear though, the main middle button and another just stopped working. I received a replacement under warranty, and after 18 months of use with that watch -- the band just ... Read More
Rating: - 3 years of perfect service
I bought this watch for my first triathlon. It (including the band) stood up to swimming in pool, lake, and ocean, copious sweat and California sunshine. Indiglo never failed. Eventually (two triathlons later) I broke the crown after my own clumsiness. The band on my $80 Casio did not last this long, and that watch never went in the chlorinated pools.
PROs
- the workout log is a fantastic function, and easy enough to navigate. I stored 4-5 workouts at a time, with splits, before transferring ... Read More
