The Wilson AVP Replica Game Ball is fine for knock-around use. If you're serious about your sand game, you'll want to shell out for the Official ball, but the Replica is a good ball for an inexpensive price.

I play recreationally and have been playing for 10 years or so. I'm not a spectacular player, but I've been around long enough to understand the difference between a cheap ball and a better quality ball. I got this as a cheap outdoor practice ball and it seems very good for that purpose. It has a good feel for softness/give and overall cover material feel. This is a great ball. I play volleyball at least 3 times a week and this is by far the best ball I have played with. Unless you're a professional or play competitive volleyball, I can't imagine anyone not liking this ball. It is sturdy, well-made, and durable enough for indoor or outdoor use. The ball provides good control, is not too soft, and perfect for the price.

If your playing competitive beach volleyball you should go with the offical one. This one is an okay ball.

The ball came within the time frame indicated at sale, but looked old/worn/dirty when I got it. I don't want to go through the hassle of sending it back though, but I hope the one I sent my friend for her birthday looked new!
