Amazon.com:
Perky teen starlet Hilary Duff wholeheartedly embraces the kind of earnest innocence all parents wish their daughters had. In Raise Your Voice, Terri Fletcher (Duff, A Cinderella Story, The Lizzie McGuire Movie) yearns to go to a prestigious music conservatory in Los Angeles. Her father (David Keith, An Officer and a Gentleman) won't let her because L.A. is a bad place--but her loving mom (Rita Wilson) and kooky aunt (Rebecca DeMornay, Risky Business) sneak her away. Once there, she gets a sassy roommate-of-color, geeky cool friends, a snooty rival, and a sexy British boyfriend (Oliver James, What a Girl Wants). Of course, all conflicts with family and friends come to a head at a big competition at which Terri rediscovers herself. Formulaic? Yes (see also Fame, Dirty Dancing, and School of Rock). Bland? Yes. Will preteen girls enjoy it anyway? Maybe, because Duff plays it so sincere. --Bret Fetzer

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - cute movie
This is probably one of Hilary Duff's best movies, not that that's saying a lot, but I think this movie is worth seeing.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - An Awesomely Bad Gem for Classical Singers
This movie is completely ridiculous to anyone who knows anything about music. It is, for all intents and purposes, one of the most terrible movies ever made, but there is an enjoyable "awesomely bad" element for people who actually know about classical singing. Seeing "Caro Mio Ben" portrayed as this impossibly difficult song, even though it is the first and easiest classical piece, any singer learns, is quite funny. My personal favorite scene is when she sings "Caro Mio Ben' for her "scary" slavic ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Hilary Duff's Best Movie
I was really suprised that there were such low reviews on this movie. I thought it was a great movie. I didn't think it was a cheesy movie at all. It was very emotional and sweet. I cried several times. I thought it was very inspiring. The acting and singing was well done as well. I'm not a big fan of Hilary Duff, but she did a really good job in this movie. She was convincing and very impressive. It was without a doubt Hilary Duff's best movie. Regardless of whether you are a fan of her or ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Raise you voice Music School movie
This is a nice movie about a girl who goes to a Music School dispite indesision associated with chosing a college, I don't know what the big deal actually is, you can always pick a different major!:)
But anyway the movie show the kinds of extreme characters you actually could meet if you hang out at such a place .

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Raise Your Voice
An entertaining story for any age and for any aspiring musicians. This movie has an excellent story line and I found it very inspirational.
