The book is fun to read because of the author's sense of humor but is also very informative. His illustrations are great and I love his paintings, beautiful, with all the qualities I love about watercolors. They inspire me to try to develop my talent further so that some day I could, maybe do as well. (Almost?)

I have been interested in painting water in acrylic and watercolor and this book was very helpful. Explains in detail how to paint various types of water, such as calm water, rapids, waves, foam, and best of all, how to "look through water," to make fish and rocks look like they are under the water, rather than on top of the water.
