When I first started getting into photography I read this book. Since then I have read dozens of photography books, and this one is still one of my favorites. People ask me all the time about which book is a good one to learn how to use your digital camera. The first book I tell them to read is The Betterphoto Guide to Digital Photography.

I bought this book by Mr. Miotke after having my digital SLR for about a month. Even though I took a photography class, this book has been an essential reference for me. I love the fact that I can refer back to certain areas over and over and over....and that I can understand Jim Miotke's description of the sometimes confusing camera language.

I have been trying to learn to use my DSLR without ever using AUTO. Jim's book has really been a help to me. I have read a lot of other books, but when I opened this one I felt like an old friend was explaining it all to me. And I even understood him. I have taken classes on Jim's web site and have some of Jim's videos, this is just one more MUST haves for anyone wanting to take better pictures. And isn't that all of us?
